Laser cleaning is an efficient and green cleaning technology. Compared with chemical cleaning, it does not require any chemicals and cleaning fluids; compared with mechanical cleaning, it has no grinding, no stress, no consumables, and minimal damage to the substrate (relic calligraphy and painting cleaning). ).

The laser can be guided by optical fiber transmission to clean the parts that are not easy to reach, and has a wide range of applications (nuclear pipeline cleaning). The technology has been applied in various fields (mold cleaning, fighter jet coating cleaning).

Laser cleaning systems are generally divided into handheld laser cleaning systems, semi-automatic laser cleaning systems and fully automatic laser cleaning systems. The main difference between the three is whether the motion trajectory of the laser scanning head is controlled by a human hand or by a manipulator/machine tool.


1. Handheld laser cleaning system

Laser cleaning machine can be widely used in the removal of paint, rust, decontamination and oxide scale on non-standard and irregular metal surfaces. Its advantages are flexible and convenient operation and mobile operation, but its disadvantages are manual operation, poor accuracy, poor consistency, high labor intensity, and it is difficult to operate in batches.

2. Semi-automatic laser cleaning system

Using the platform and guide rails similar to the machining center, the cleaning head of the laser cleaner is installed on the main shaft driven by the servo motor to achieve semi-automatic cleaning and maintain the best cleaning distance.

3. Fully automatic laser cleaning system

Install the cleaning head of the laser cleaning equipment on a moving mechanical device (such as a robot, a manipulator, etc.), and the mechanical device automatically completes the preset motion trajectory. Its advantages are high precision, large-scale operation, and low technical requirements and labor intensity for operators. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to complete the movement of irregular trajectories.
