Many customers have misunderstandings about the safety of laser welding equipment because they are not familiar with it. Today we will discuss how to use the laser welder safely.

First of all, you have to wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and protective glasses when welding. This is the most important point for safe use. The laser beam may cause irreversible damage to the retina and/or cornea. Appropriate and approved laser safety eyewear must be worn all the time while the laser is operating.

Secondly, when using gas cylinders, avoid crushing the welding wires to avoid leakage accidents. It is forbidden to explode the cylinder in the sun or close to a heat source. When opening the cylinder valve, the operator must stand on the side of the cylinder valve.

Thirdly, please make sure the fiber welding machine is grounded through the PE line of the AC power cord. The grounding wire must be firm and reliable. Any interruption from the protective ground will electrify the enclosure, which may result in personal injury.

Finally, after talking about the few important safety issues, please allow me to mention few points that are easy to make mistakes.

▪ Please don’t place paper, cloth or other flammable materials near the unprotected laser beam.

▪ Please don’t touch the inside of the machine when it is turned on or when it is turned off within 15 minutes.

▪ Please to ensure smooth heat dissipation, no external heat is allowed to blow directly to the machine.
