The common faults that occur during the operation of the laser welding machine

During the use of laser welding machines, there will be more or less failures. Of course, in order to make the laser welding machine work better, reduce the number of failures, and improve work efficiency, it is necessary to understand the working principle of the laser welding machine. Below, we will introduce to you the common faults and treatment methods of handheld laser welding machine.

Fault 1. The weld seam is very black when the hand laser welding machine is welding

The airflow direction of the shielding gas is incorrect. The airflow direction of the shielding gas should be opposite to that of the workpiece.

Fault 2: Cracks appear when the laser welding machine is welding

1. The cooling speed of the workpiece is too fast, and the temperature of the cooling water should be adjusted on the fixture to increase the temperature of the water.

2. When the fit gap of the workpiece is too large or there are burrs, the machining accuracy of the workpiece should be improved.

3. The workpiece has not been cleaned. In this case, the workpiece needs to be cleaned again.

4. The flow rate of the shielding gas is too large, which can be solved by reducing the flow rate of the shielding gas.

Fault 3, laser welding machine welding penetration is not enough

1. Lack of laser energy can improve pulse width and current.

2. The focus lens is not the correct amount, the amount of focus should be adjusted to get close to the focus position.


Fault 4: The flame weakens when the laser welding machine is welding

1. The shutter is not fully repelled, and check the lubrication on the shutter connector so that the connector can be mechanically smoothly.

2. Main optical path laser deviation, main optical path total reflection and semi-reflection aperture adjustment, image paper inspection, dot adjustment.

3. If the cooling water is polluted or the cooling water is not replaced for a long time, it can be solved by replacing the cooling water and cleaning the ultraviolet glass tube and xenon lamp.

4. The laser does not output from the center of the copper nozzle under the focusing head. Adjust the 45° reflective aperture to make the laser output from the center of the nozzle.

5. If the focusing lens or laser resonator membrane is damaged or polluted, it should be replaced or cleaned in time.
